Alcatel-Lucent

Lucent Technology Services was considered one of the world's premier communications companies with blue chip customers. It had begun a fledgling customer reference program but needed to broaden and better leverage its relationships in a way that demonstrated their impact to sales and marketing efforts. Fleishman-Hillard consulted with Lucent, acquired by world communications leader Alcatel, to help build a best-in-class program, including measurement vehicles, customer acquisition and fulfillment protocols, audio and video customer testimonial summaries, online customer communities, customer advisory councils, and podcasts to market the program within the company. Today the program enjoys wide support across business units and regions worldwide.

Citrix Systems

Citrix Systems, the global leader in application delivery infrastructure, was unable to obtain references for communications activities and had no brand name customers in its case study or news release pipeline. Fleishman-Hillard developed a customer outreach program focusing on turning premier customers into advocates. Within nine months, we uncovered 75 customer testimonials and stories for news releases, case studies, speaking opportunities, and sales references. This also enabled Citrix to launch its first national print advertising campaign based on brand-name customer testimonials. The program has been declared a critical component of the marketing, public relations, and sales initiatives for Citrix, a $1.1 billion company in 2006. The combined Citrix and FH team has secured nearly 300 customer references to date.

J.D. Edwards

For over two decades, J.D. Edwards had a solid reputation, but was increasingly overlooked in the competitive tech marketplace. The company had more than 6,000 loyal customers and a strong sales-reference program, but couldn't capitalize on these assets.
